I want to modify this listviewEX as my listview has its items in the first column and sub items in the second column are not editable. So I want to set a text box as an editor control for the subitem that exists in the third column and a combobox for the subitem in the fourth column and so on.

Refering to Change background color of listview in vb6
I tried this example and does not work as in I see no coloured rows.I have a command button on my form that loads listview items then once that is finished I call the routine to setup the colour.I made my picture box visible to see the expected outcome and it is as expected. So effectively setting the ListView's Picture property to the PictureBox's Image property is doing nothing for me.

Does anyone know how you can edit the subitems of the listView in the same way as you can the items text labels (this first item in the row)?
Setting the LabelEdit property to true only effect the main item labels of the row not any of the subitems.
The above line can only edit first column of the listview.
Listview doesn't have that capability. One way to accomplish this is to bring up a small form with all the subitems of the listview item in textboxes or a gridview so they can be edited.
